User Data Deletion Request Instructions

ClassyTea is committed to protecting your personal information. This page explains how you can request deletion of any data collected by ClassyTea when you use login features such as Facebook, Google, or Apple on our website.

What Data We May Receive When You Use Social Login

If you choose to sign in using a third-party provider like Google, Facebook, or Apple, we may receive the following information from them to create and manage your ClassyTea account:

  • Your full name
  • Your email address (used as your primary account identifier)
  • Your public profile picture (if you have one and it's made available by the provider)
  • An authentication token (provided by the social platform, used by us solely to verify your login and secure your session with ClassyTea)

We do not receive your password from your Google, Facebook, or Apple account, nor do we access any private information (like your posts or friend lists) from your social media profiles.

The primary purpose of using social login is for your convenience, allowing you to access your ClassyTea account, view order history, and manage preferences without needing to create a separate password for our site. General information about your device and browser may be collected by our website platform (Shopify) for operational and security purposes, as detailed in our main Privacy Policy.

How to Request Deletion of Your Data

If you would like your personal account data removed from ClassyTea's systems, please follow these steps:

  1. Email your request to: support@theclassytea.com
  2. Use the subject line: Data Deletion Request
  3. In your message, please include:
    • Your full name
    • The email address associated with your ClassyTea account (this is the email you use to log in, whether directly or via a social provider)
    • A clear statement of your request (e.g., "I am requesting the full deletion of my account and associated personal data from ClassyTea.")
  4. To protect your information, we may need to contact you to verify your identity before proceeding with the deletion.
  5. We will process your verified request within 30 days, or as otherwise required by applicable data protection laws. You will receive a confirmation once the deletion is complete.

Important Notes

  • Data deletion from ClassyTea's systems is permanent. This means you will lose access to your ClassyTea account, including any order history, wishlists, and saved preferences associated with it.
  • If you have made purchases, certain transactional data (such as invoices or order details necessary for financial records) may be retained for a limited period if required for legal, financial, or tax compliance purposes. We will anonymize or delete other personal data not subject to these obligations where feasible.
  • This request will apply to data held by ClassyTea. It will not delete your account or data held by Google, Facebook, or Apple themselves. You would need to manage that data directly with those providers.
